I’ve finished off in Castlegar with my brother and I’m happy to say we did as little as possible. A bit of yoga, trekked into the forest to get some firewood, worked on some art, and generally just caught up. As always there was great food and warm homes, a visit my brother’s never disappoints in that regard.
While in Castlegar I finally actually purchased my flight, its settled, I’m starting in Mexico City. I should get there just after noon on December 31st. I can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year than in another country starting the trip of a lifetime. I’m not sure why it took so long to get a flight, perhaps it was my uncertainty in where to start. I suspect it was more so that buying a flight out of the country really meant I was going through with this. Its still sinking in, this is really happening.
I’m now on to the second leg of my farewell Canada tour. I’ll have a week or so in Ottawa, a week or so in North Bay, and then spend the few weeks leading up to the New Year in Mississauga. In the mean time, enjoy these shots of Pedro and us playing euchre.
|I suspect Pedro is going to get a lot more action than I on this trip|
